Aloha!
Here in Hawaii, we work in one of the most beautiful locales on Earth to get married. Over the years, businesses large and small have developed services and products tailored to couples to be wed here in our state, and an entire industry has emerged, catering to the needs and wants of what is now referred to as the “romance market.” These companies put forth a great deal of resources toward garnering the attention of the romance market, yet their efforts remain fragmented.
By unifying some of these companies’ marketing efforts, we can generate even more buzz and excitement about weddings than possible as individual entities. Wedding Week Hawaii is designed to attract engaged couples to a sensational, week-long series of events, thereby stimulating a heightened interest and demand for wedding related services and products. We hope to bolster the state’s economy by increasing awareness of Hawaii as a premiere wedding destination.
We welcome your participation in Hawaii Wedding Week, scheduled for November 5th - 10th, 2020, throughout the State of Hawai‘i!
How Wedding Week Hawaii Came To Fruition
Drawing inspiration from the highly successful Fashion Week here in Hawai‘i, founder, Julie Aragaki (of Hawaii Wedding Style), believed a similar concept could apply equally well to the wedding industry. Why not pool the resources and efforts of those in the industry to build excitement around weddings amongst engaged couples? With Julie’s long standing relationships and contacts within the industry, she enlisted the help of other, like-minded business owners in the industry to put together what will be Hawai‘i’s first ever Wedding Week!

Romance Travelers Spend More
Romance visitors to Hawai‘i (traveling here for a wedding, honeymoon, or anniversary) spend more than their shopping, dining, and activities than do their non-romance traveling counterparts.
Opportunities Presented By The Romance Market
Visitors coming to Hawaii for their honeymoons or to get married are often first time visitors, a lucrative part of the visitor population, as they represent potential repeat visitors to Hawaii.
The sentimental attachment of coming to Hawaii for a milestone event, therefore represents an opportunity to develop loyalty to Hawaii as a destination of choice.
